These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BuildWise ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using BuildWise, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BuildWise, you confirm that you are able to form a binding contract and that you accept these Terms in full. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Use of the Application
BuildWise provides a suite of home-improvement calculators — including Paint, Tile, Concrete, Gravel, Mulch, Topsoil, Sod, Roofing, Fence, Deck, Drywall, Wallpaper, Paver, Brick, and Block calculators, a Unit Converter, and a Project Cost Estimator — along with Favorites, History, Saved Estimates, and Settings. All calculations are performed locally on your device.
You agree to use BuildWise only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
Calculator Accuracy
BuildWise's calculators are based on standard industry formulas and typical coverage rates, and are intended as a planning and estimation aid only. Results are estimates and may not account for site-specific conditions, material variations, waste beyond the selected allowance, local building codes, permit requirements, or installation-specific factors.
Calculator results do not replace professional advice. Before purchasing materials or beginning any project, you should verify quantities with a qualified contractor, supplier, or professional, and confirm compliance with applicable local building codes and regulations. BuildWise and its developer are not responsible for material shortages, overages, project delays, or costs resulting from reliance on calculator results.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into BuildWise's calculators, for verifying results before making purchasing or construction decisions, and for complying with all applicable laws, codes, and regulations that apply to your project.
Intellectual Property
BuildWise, including its design, calculators, illustrations, icons, and branding, is the property of its developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use BuildWise's name, logo, or branding without prior written permission. You retain no ownership rights in the App itself; you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or internal business purposes.
Purchases
BuildWise offers a one-time purchase, BuildWise Pro, which unlocks additional calculators and removes advertisements for the lifetime of your installation, subject to the terms of the app store through which you purchased it (Google Play or the Apple App Store). All purchases are processed by the respective app store, and refunds are handled according to that store's refund policy — BuildWise does not directly process payments or issue refunds.
Advertising
The free version of BuildWise displays advertisements served through Google AdMob. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Purchasing BuildWise Pro removes advertisements.
Disclaimer
BuildWise is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculator results will be accurate for your specific project or location.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of BuildWise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of materials, profits, or project costs, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App — including reliance on any calculator result.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable law. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing Law / Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
